Claimed his biggest PGA Tour victory at The Players Championship in 2017, becoming, at 21, the youngest winner of the tour's flagship event. Kim won by three strokes over Ian Poulter and Louis Oosthuizen at TPC Sawgrass. Prior to that, Kim's initial PGA Tour win came in the 2016 Wyndham Championship, which helped him advance to The Tour Championship and earn him exemptions into all four majors in 2017. In 2012, Kim, at age 17, became the youngest to qualify for the PGA Tour via Q-School, but had to wait until he turned 18 at the end of June to compete. He missed seven cuts in eight starts. In 2015, Kim became the second-youngest winner in Web.com Tour history (Jason Day) when he prevailed in the Stonebrae Classic. He finished 10th on the Web.com Tour money list that year to earn him PGA Tour priviledges for the 2015-16 season.
