Ended a 0-for-73 drought in the majors with his sudden-death playoff win over Justin Rose in the 2017 Masters. Garcia owns 33 worldwide wins, including 10 on the PGA Tour. Garcia started 2018 by winning the SMBC Singapore Open on the Asian Tour by five strokes. Prior to turning professional in 1999, he won the 1998 Amateur Championship conducted by The R&A and was the youngest winner of the European Amateur when he claimed the 1995 title at 15. He also won the 1997 British Boys and was a semifinalist in the 1998 U.S. Amateur. Garcia represented Spain in 1996 and 1998 at the World Amateur Team Championship and is an eight-time European Ryder Cup competitor. Earlier this year, he and his wife, Angela, welcomed their first child, a girl named Azalea.
