The 2010 U.S. Amateur champion will play in his second U.S. Open -- and first as a professional -- after surviving a 4-for-3 playoff in the Columbus, Ohio, sectional. Uihlein posted 8-under 136 at The Lakes Golf & Country Club and Brookside Golf & Country Club before making a birdie on the first playoff hole. Uihlen clinched the winning point for the USA in the 2009 Walker Cup Match at Merion Golf Club, going 4-0 in the two-day competition. He also was a member of the 2011 Walker Cup Team. He is the son of former Acushnet Golf CEO Wally Uihlein. Played collegiately at Oklahoma State with PGA Tour players Rickie Fowler and Morgan Hoffmann, and 2017 U.S. Open qualifier Kevin Dougherty. His lone victory as a professional came on the European Challenge Tour at the 2013 Madeira Islands Open - Portugal-BPI. Has primarily played on the European Challenge and European PGA Tours since graduating from Oklahoma State. Lost in the quarterfinals of the 2011 U.S. Amateur at Erin Hills.
