Rallied with a birdie-eagle finish and then outdueled University of Oklahoma rising senior Blaine Hale in a playoff to secure the third and final qualifying spot in the Richmond, Texas, sectional at Shadow Hawk Golf Club. It will be Naegel's first U.S. Open. Has primarily bounced around on the mini-tour circuit since graduating from Missouri Baptist. Competed on the Hooters Tour from 2008-12 and also dabbled on the eGolf Tour, Adams Tour and Minor League Tour. He won an eGolf Tour event in 2012 and added an Adams Tour victory three years later. He also played 20 events on the Web.com Tour in 2016, finishing 86th on the money list. He played 21 more Web.com events in 2017, finishing 117th on the money list. This year, he's made four Web.com Tour starts with a tie for seventh, a T-43 and two missed cuts.
