The recent high school graduate and incoming Texas A&M freshman qualified for his first U.S. Open by garnering the third and final berth from the Dallas sectional, shooting 10-under 132 at Lakewood Country Club. He came into the qualifier No. 774 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Competed in the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship with friend and 2015 U.S. Open qualifier Cole Hammer. Also played in this year's championship with partner Andrew Minton, but lost in the Round of 32. Has won twice on the Texas Legends Junior Tour. Won the Texas Father-Son Championship with Randy Lee. Plays left-handed. Committed to Texas A&M while in the eighth grade.
