Qualified for his second U.S. Open and first as a professional by earning medalist honors in the Memphis, Tenn., sectional. The former Louisiana State University All-American posted 15-under 128 at Ridgeway Country Clulb/Colonial Country Club to best the field of 111 competitors. Registered his first victory as a professional in April at the Savannah (Ga.) Golf Championship on the Web.com Tour. Turned professional last fall after a stellar amateur career that included four victories, including the 2017 NCAA Baton Rouge Invitational. Represented the U.S. on the 2017 Palmer Cup Team and later that summer tied for sixth in the PGA Tour's Barbasol Championship as an amateur. Also represented the U.S. in the 2014 Junior Ryder Cup.
