Youngest to ever win a major when she claimed 2007 Kraft Nabisco Championship at 18 years, 313 days; qualified for 2001 U.S. Women's Open at 12 (turned 13 by start of championship), which was a record for youngest qualifier for six years until Lexi Thompson and now Lucy Li broke the mark; won 2005 U.S. Women's Amateur, a month after nearly becoming first amateur to win U.S. Women's Open since Catherine Lacoste in 1967; Birdie Kim holed out a bunker shot on 72nd hole to defeat Pressel and Brittany Lang by two strokes; of her five professional wins, two have come on the LPGA Tour.
