The 2003 U.S. Junior Amateur champion was in contention for his first major title in 2017 at Erin Hills, only to come up four strokes short of winner Brooks Koepka. The lefty shared second with Hideki Matsuyama. He followed that up with a T-36 in the 2018 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills. This will be his fifth U.S. Open start. In May 2017, Harman registered his second PGA Tour victory in the Wells Fargo Championship by holing a 30-foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole to edge 2016 U.S. Open champion Dustin Johnson and Pat Perez by one stroke. His previous victory came in the 2014 John Deere Classic. The 5-foot-7 Harman also represented the USA on two victorious Walker Cup teams in 2005 and 2009, and he was a member of the winning 2007 USA Palmer Cup Team. He was a three-time All-American at the University of Georgia, where he posted two collegiate victories.
