The two-time winner on the European Tour will be making his third U.S. Open start, but first since Chambers Bay in 2015. His two victories have come in the 2017 Portugal Masters and 2018 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Earlier this year, he defeated Tiger Woods in the quarterfinals of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play at Austin (Texas) Country Club. Before turning pro, Bjerregaard won the 2010 European Amateur and twice captured the Danish Open Amateur. He represented his country in the 2008 and 2010 World Amateur Team Championships.
