The USGA is looking for a Learning Experience Architect.  An individual that can be progressive, and lead with the development of a global education experience and its strategy to support the launch and use of a new World Handicap System for the game of golf.

The Business of Learning: We need to balance the requirements of the business with the needs of our global B2B/B2C learners.

Technology and Techniques: Global-ready and easily accessible content should be part of the overall learning strategy.  You will need to understand the audience, cultural diversity with global learning experiences, content consumption behaviors and modern with approaches and strategies in order to be successful.

Educational Technology Trends: Cost-effective and technology agnostic visions and solutions allow for flexibility to evolve with trends.

What You Can Expect:

  • Lead the learning experience design for the various golfing cultures around the world;
  • Develop and define innovative digital learning channels and paths.
  • Develop and manage a global-ready strategy that allows for overall efficiencies with content creation and consumption.
  • Apply design-thinking principles to curriculum development and the application of emerging technologies such as VR/AR.
  • Prototype, test, and build personalized and adaptive courseware.
  • Develop and manage learning modalities for easy consumption by any country and via its technology agnostic channels.
  • Define user stories and provide detailed Business requirements documents to Digital/Creative Design Team.
  • Develop and define goals and metrics to measure learning effectiveness of all education programs, including capturing insights in an open distribution channel environment.
  • Ability to problem solve and ensure deadlines are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders to capture input, turn into requirements and gain support for initiatives.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills and collaboration. This role interacts with broad audiences throughout the organization. Requires patience, flexibility and willingness to dive in and help where and when needed.
  • Explores technologies and how they can solve problems in creative ways.
  • Focused on next generation learning from the perspective of how people learn and how we can deliver knowledge in the new world. Looks at new technologies and think how those technologies can apply to the vision of the future.
  • Manage learning platform(s), products and content.


What You Bring to the USGA:

  • A BA/BS degree with 5+ years’ experience building and implementing innovative learning programs, experiences and curriculum
  • Experience building global-ready learning programs
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully apply continuous improvement methodologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of different learning principles
  • Proven ability to think strategically while delivering practical solutions
  • Experience with standard Learning development tools: Articulate, Captivate, Dreamweaver, FLASH; Photoshop, Illustrator, video production, some knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
  • Proven ability to value results and relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate and lead projects
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes and degrees of complexity simultaneously
