The USGA is investing in cutting-edge innovation and commissioning industry-leading research that will improve golfer satisfaction, enhance the playing experience, and help golf facilities reduce their reliance on critical resources such as water, nutrients, chemicals and energy by 25 percent by 2025.

The USGA Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the United States Golf Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Established in 2017, the USGA Foundation secures resources to fulfill the USGA’s commitment to invest in programs and initiatives that best serve golf for all who love and play it. The Foundation, which also oversees the USGA Members Program, is focused on four impact areas that are essential to the health and future of the game: Investing in Golf Innovation, Ensuring Inclusion and Accessibility, Preparing Next-Generation Golf Leaders and Celebrating Golf's Greatest Stories.

The Foundation will support the USGA’s efforts to celebrate golf’s history and traditions while driving the game forward by:

  • Building a vibrant golf community that is welcoming and accessible to all.
  • Creating opportunities for new golfers to engage with the game.
  • Investing in cutting-edge innovation that will enhance the golf experience and reduce facilities' reliance on critical natural resources by 20 percent by the year 2025.
  • Identifying and developing new generations of golf's professional and volunteer leaders.
