Captured unprecedented three consecutive U.S. Junior Amateur titles from 1991-93 and then followed it by becoming the first person to win three straight U.S. Amateur championships (1994-96)

Owns nine USGA titles, which ties him with Bobby Jones for the most all time

Won memorable 2008 U.S. Open despite playing with torn ligaments in his left knee; defeated Rocco Mediate in a thrilling 19-hole playoff, but needed to hole a 12-foot birdie putt at the 72nd hole to force the Monday playoff
