As a rookie in 2004, Palmer won the Funai Classic at the Walt Disney World Resort for his first PGA Tour victory, and has followed that up with two other triumphs; also won on the Nationwide Tour in 2003; lost a 12-hole playoff to Zack Fischer in sectional qualifying for a 2013 U.S. Open spot, but later made the field as an alternate; started college career at University of North Texas before transferring to Texas A&M.
