The great-nephew of 1968 Masters champion Bob Goalby and the son of nine-time PGA Tour winner Jay, Bill has six professional victories, five coming on the PGA Tour; won the 2011 FedEx Cup by winning a three-hole playoff over Hunter Mahan; joined father Jay and uncle Jerry as a Walker Cup player, competing in the 2003 Match; member of 2011 and 2013 U.S. Presidents Cup Teams.
