Became the youngest player since Bob Jones in 1923 to win the U.S. Open with his one-stroke victory at Chambers Bay. The win made him the first player since Gene Sarazen in 1922 to win multiple major championships in the same year. He became the second-youngest Masters champion behind Tiger Woods with his four-stroke victory in 2015, his 18-under total of 270 tying Woods's 72-hole scoring record. He is the only player other than Woods to win multiple U.S. Junior Amateur titles (2009, 2011). He was low amateur in the 2012 U.S. Open following his freshman year at the University of Texas. He was a member of the 2013 and 2015 U.S. Presidents Cup teams and the 2014 U.S. Ryder Cup team.
