Became the first Englishman since 1911 to win the U.S. Amateur when he claimed the title in 2013 at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass. He spent one semester at Northwestern University before deciding to focus full-time on golf, turning professional in 2014. He won his first European Tour title in 2015 at the English Masters, and added a second with his three-stroke victory in the Nordea Masters the first week of June. Fitzpatrick is the first player since Bob Jones to hold low-amateur honors from The Open Championship (2013) conducted by The R&A and the U.S. Open Championship (2014). He was a member of the 2013 Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup Team. He finished tied for seventh in the 2016 Masters.
