Johnston qualified for his third U.S. Open by shooting 10-under 134 to share medalists honors with James Morrison in the Surrey, England, sectional at Walton Heath Golf Club. Became an overnight sensation with fans at the 2016 U.S. Open with his outgoing personality. Goes by the nickname of "Beef." He registered his first European Tour win in April of 2016 at the Real Club Valderrama Open de Espana. Johnston also owns two European Challenge Tour victories. Although he was born in England, Johnston can claim some Jamaican descent.
