Kisner registered his fourth PGA Tour victory last August in the Wyndham Champonship. Prior to that, he defeated Matt Kuchar, 3 and 2, in the championship match of the 2019 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play at Austin (Texas) Country Club. It came a year after he lost in the championship match to Bubba Watson. His previous victory had come in the 2017 Dean & Deluca Invitational at Colonial Country Club. He was in a playoff at the 2015 Players Championship with Sergio Garcia and eventual winner Rickie Fowler. Kisner was a member of the 2005 NCAA championship team at the University of Georgia with fellow PGA Tour players Brendon Todd and Chris Kirk, along with 2001 U.S. Junior Amateur runner-up Richard Scott. He also has won twice on Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour). He represented the USA on the victorious 2017 Presidents Cup Team. This will be his ninth U.S. Open start, thanks to being among the top 60 in the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 23.
