Kisner registered his third PGA Tour victory in March, defeating Matt Kuchar, 3 and 2, in the championship match of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play at Austin (Texas) Country Club. It came a year after he lost in the championship match to Bubba Watson. His previous victory had come in the 2017 Dean & Deluca Invitational at Colonial Country Club. He was in a playoff at the 2015 Players Championship with Sergio Garcia and eventual winner Rickie Fowler. Kisner was a member of the 2005 NCAA championship team at the University of Georgia with fellow PGA Tour players Brendon Todd and Chris Kirk, along with 2001 U.S. Junior Amateur runner-up Richard Scott.
