The Canadian broke through for his first PGA Tour victory in the 2017 Valspar Championship a couple of months after he carded a 59 in the third round of the CareerBuilder Challenge in Rancho Mirage, Calif. Hadwin edged 2011 U.S. Amateur runner-up Patrick Cantlay by one stroke. It was his 12th win as a professional. His father, Gerry, is a club professional who joined the Canadian PGA in 1979. Adam attended the University of Louisville, where he earned honorable-mention All-America honors in 2009. He also was a member of the 2017 International Presidents Cup Team.
