Broke through for his first PGA Tour win in his second season at the FedEx St. Jude Classic a week before the 2016 U.S. Open, and then successfully defended his title last June by one stroke over Charl Schwartzel and Whee Kim. The former Florida State All-American was named the PGA Tour's Rookie of the Year for the 2014-15 season. He tied for second in the 2013 NCAA Division I Championship and was a member of the victorious USA Palmer Cup Team. Last fall, he played on the victorious USA Presidents Cup Team. His father, Jay, is a former professional tennis player who has coached at the University of Miami (Fla.) and Florida International as well as with the U.S. National Team.
