F-3: Winner of 2024 U.S. Senior Open Championship

The Englishman earned his place into the 2025 field by capturing the 2024 U.S. Senior Open at Newport (R.I.) Country Club in a playoff. Bland rallied in the weather-delayed final round to tie Hiroyuki Fujita, shooting a 4-under-par 66. After the two were tied following the scheduled aggregate two-hole playoff, Bland eventually won on the second sudden-death hole with a brilliant up-and-down par from a greenside bunker that he nearly holed. Bland only got into the U.S. Senior Open field after winning the Senior PGA Championship. Before turning 50, Bland, in his 478th start on the European Tour, finally broke into the winner's circle, capturing the 2021 Betfred British Masters, which was part of a three-event European Tour series to determine the top 10 points leaders not previously exempt for that year's U.S. Open. Only Malcolm MacKenzie had played more European Tour events (509) before winning his maiden title. This will be Bland's fourth U.S. Open start. Prior to turning pro, the Englishman won the European Amateur Under 21 title in 1994.
