Final Qualifying: Shot 69-64 at Hillcrest Country Club in Los Angeles on June 5
Hoffman, a native of San Diego, will tee it up at The Los Angeles Country Club after surviving a 3-for-2 playoff at Hillcrest Country Club for the final spots. Hoffman, who has made 7 of 8 cuts in his U.S. Open career, collected his fourth PGA Tour win in the 2016 Valero Texas Open in San Antonio. Other victories include the 2007 Bob Hope Classic (now American Express Championship), 2014 OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Mexico and the 2010 Deutsche Bank Classic during the FedEx Cup Playoffs, where he shot a final-round 62. As an amateur, Hoffman helped UNLV win the 1998 NCAA Championship. A graduate of Poway High, he captured a pair of California state high school titles in 1994 and 1995, becoming the first multiple champion. He also qualified three times for the Buick Invitational (now Farmers Insurance Open) as an amateur.
