The Australian will make his second U.S. Open start, and first since missing the cut in 2018 at Shinnecock Hills, after posting 8-under-par 136 at the Walton Heath Golf Club final qualifier. Born in South Africa, his family moved to Perth, Australia when he was 10. He competed in the 2010 U.S. Amateur at Chambers Bay before turning pro. He bounced around several tours in Australia and Asia before finally gaining his European Tour (now DP World Tour) card for the 2015 season. His lone victory to date is the 2017 NSW Open on the PGA Tour Australasia. His best major-championship finish to date is a share of 23rd in the 2021 PGA Championship.
