The Canadian will make his second U.S. Open start after shooting 9-under-par 132 at the final qualifier held at Bent Tree Country Club and Northwood Club in Dallas on May 22. Sloan, who was born in Calgary and raised in Merritt, British Columbia, played collegiately at the University of Texas-El Paso. Since turning professional in 2009, Sloan has registered one victory on PGA Tour Canada (The Western Championship in 2011) and another on the Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) at the 2014 Nova Scotia Open. He was involved in a six-man playoff at the 2021 Wyndham Championship, an event won by Kevin Kisner. That is his best finish to date on the PGA Tour.
