Kozuma will make his second U.S. Open start after surviving a 4-for-1 playoff for the final spot in the Japan qualifier on May 19. He posted a 36-hole score of 9-under-par 135. Kozuma owns five professional victories, including three on the Japan Golf Tour. His last came in the 2024 Sansan KBC Augusta. He also competes on the Asian Tour and LIV Golf, where he is a teammate of fellow 2025 U.S. Open qualifier Scott Vincent. He missed the cut in his two previous major-championship starts in 2022 (U.S. Open and PGA Championship).
