Bramlett certainly loves qualifying for U.S. Opens at Pebble Beach. After surviving sectional qualifying in Rockville, Md., the Stanford University graduate will play his second Open on the iconic layout; he missed the cut in 2010 a week after graduating from Stanford. In 2011, he joined fellow Stanford alum Tiger Woods as the only two players of African-American descent on the PGA Tour. Bramlett failed to keep his card that year and wound up on the Web.com Tour in 2012. In 2019, he has made the cut in 8 of 13 events, including a tie for seventh in the Savannah (Ga,) Golf Championship. Back issues sidelined him in 2016 and 2017. Qualified for the 2002 U.S. Amateur at Oakland Hills as a 14-year-old.
