The New Jersey native will join his father, Mark, as a U.S. Open qualifier. He earned medalist honors at the Rockville, Md., final qualifier, shooting a pair of 66s on the North Course at Woodmont C.C. Mark McCormick, the head professional at Suburban Country Club in Union, N.J., missed the cut in the 2012 championship at The Olympic Club. The younger McCormick currently competes on the Korn Ferry Tour, where he's registered one top 10 in 2025. He's made 114 starts on the circuit with one runner-up finish (2022 Astara Golf Championship). He played collegiately at St. John's University, where he captured the 2014 Big East title.
