Smith will make his third U.S. Open start after earning medalist honors at the England qualifier, shooting 10-under 134 on the Old and New Courses at Walton Heath Golf Club. He owns seven worldwide professional victories, including the 2017 Porsche European Open and 2022 Portugal Masters on the European Tour (now DP World Tour). He also has won twice on the European Challenge Tour and PGA EuroPro Tour. In 2017, he tied for ninth in the PGA Championship. Before turning pro, he represented Great Britain and Ireland in the 2013 Walker Cup Match at National Golf Links of America.
