Qualified for his second U.S. Open, and first as a professional, by shooting 6-under 138 in the Columbus, Ohio, sectional at The Lakes Golf & Country Club and Brookside Golf & Country Club. Won the 2014 Mark H. McCormack Medal for being the No. 1 player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Was the runner-up to 2018 U.S. Open qualifier Cameron Wilson in the NCAA Division I Championship at Prairie Dunes, losing in a three-hole playoff. Was a three-time All-American at Georgia Tech and won five of six tournaments leading into the 2014 NCAA Championships. He held the No. 1 spot in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 41 consecutive weeks. Schniederjans represented the U.S. on a pair of Palmer Cup Teams in 2014 and 2015. He was a two-time first-team All-American before turning professional in 2015. His lone professional victory thus far is the 2016 Air Capital Classic on the Web.com Tour.
