The former Virginia Tech standout and Charlotte, N.C., native earned his first U.S. Open start by garnering one of the four spots in the Rockville, Md., final qualifier. Cone has played on the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, PGA Tour Canada and PGA Tour Americas. He's made just two of 10 cuts in 2025 on the PGA Tour. He earned his 2025 card by being among the top 30 points leaders on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2024. He posted six top-10s on the KFT in 2024, including a T-4 in the UNC Health Championship.
