The Southern Californian will make his U.S. Open debut after shooting 11-under 131 at the Cherry Hill Club final qualifier in Canada. Born in the Philippines, Hoey moved to Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., at a young age. He attended the University of Southern California before turning professional in 2017. He has played on PGA Tour Canada, Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour. He owns two professional victories, including the 2023 Visit Knoxville Open on the Korn Ferry Tour. He also won the 2017 Freedom 55 Financial Championship on PGA Tour Canada. He represented the U.S. in the 2016 and 2018 Palmer Cup matches.
