The University of Alabama graduate earned his first U.S. Open start by finishing third on the 2020 Korn Ferry Tour points list. Hodges moved into third position, thanks to his victory in the WinCo Foods Portland Open on Aug. 9 at Pumpkin Ridge. Hodges began his collegiate career at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, where he was the 2015 Conference USA Player of the Year. He then transferred to Alabama, where he became teammates with Davis Riley, who also earned his spot in the 2020 U.S. Open via the Korn Ferry points list.
