The former University of North Carolina-Wilmington golfer and Charlotte, N.C., resident shared co-medalist honors in a final qualifier at Old Chatham Golf Club (12-under 132) and was the co-medalist in local qualifying at Rolling Green Golf Club. This will be his first U.S. Open. Cover has played 60 events between the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, PGA Tour China, PGA Tour Canada and PGA Tour Latinoamerica. His two top-10 finishes came on PGA Tour China in 2019. His grandfather, Don Gundry, played college golf for Purdue University.
