The Englishman earned his place via the sectional qualifier at Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey, England, where he posted a 36-hole total of 8-under 136. This will be his second U.S. Open, but first as a professional. He missed the cut last year at Erin Hills as the reigning British Amateur champion. Gregory turned professional after last year's Walker Cup Match at The Los Angeles Country Club. Gregory also competed in the 2016 Open Championship and the 2017 Masters.
