List will make his seventh U.S. Open start after shooting 9-under-par 135 at The Lakes Golf & C.C. and Brookside Golf & C.C. in Columbus, Ohio. List broke through to win his first PGA Tour event, the 2022 Farmers Insurance Classic at Torrey Pines in his 206th start. He shot a final-round 66 and then defeated Will Zalatoris in a playoff. List also owns a pair of Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) wins, the last coming at the 2020 Korn Ferry Challenge. List was the runner-up to Ryan Moore in the 2004 U.S. Amateur at Winged Foot, which earned him starts in the 2005 U.S. Open and Masters. He played collegiately at Vanderbilt University. In 2005, he also won the Jones Cup Invitational. He twice represented the USA in the Palmer Cup (2006 and 2007).
