The Swede will make his second U.S. Open start, and first in eight years, after earning medalist honors in final qualifying conducted at RattleSnake Point Golf Club in Canada. Blixt posted a 10-under total of 132. Three of his four professional wins have come on the PGA Tour, the last coming in the 2017 Zurich Classic of New Orleans with partner Cameron Smith. He also won the 2012 Frys.com Open and the 2013 Greenbrier Classic. Blixt played collegiately at Florida State, where he earned first-team All-America honors in 2008 after being a second-teamer in 2007. He represented the European Team in the 2007 and 2008 Palmer Cup. In 2013, Blixt finished solo fourth in the PGA Championship and shared runner-up honors in the 2014 Masters with Jordan Spieth, three strokes behind winner Bubba Watson.
