Final Qualifying: Shot 64-71 at Canoe Brook Country Club (North and South courses) in Summit, N.J., on June 5

The Rancho Mirage, Calif., resident will make his major-championship debut in his native Southern California after shooting 7-under 135 at a 36-hole final qualifier at Canoe Brook Country Club. Henson has been trying to qualify for the U.S. Open since 1998, and has played in final qualifiers in Japan, Hawaii, California and now New Jersey. He owns three professional victories, including the 2011 Philippine Open on the Asian Tour. He also won the 2013 Long Beach Open. He primarily competes on the Asian Tour, but also has partial status on the DP World Tour. He makes his home base in Thailand to make it easier to travel to events, but does get home to the Palm Springs area 10 weeks out of the calendar year. While nursing an injured wrist in 2016, he began moonlighting as an Uber driver in the Coachella Valley, first for charity, but he loved it so much that he still works as an Uber driver while home in the U.S. Seven times, Henson has tried to obtain a PGA Tour card through the Qualifying School
