Lee will make his second U.S. Open start after earning the 14th and final qualifying spot in the Columbus, Ohio, sectional at Brookside Golf & Country Club and Scioto Country Club. Lee birdied his 36th and final hole to avoid a playoff for the final berth. Lee missed the cut in his only previous U.S. Open appearance in 2014 at Pinehurst. Lee owns a pair of victories on the Japan Golf Tour and Korean Tour. He moved to the U.S. in 2016 to compete on the Web.com Tour and he currently owns PGA Tour status. This year, he tied for third in the Zurich Classic with partner Matt Every, and tied for seventh in the Honda Classic.
