Lee will make his sixth U.S. Open start after qualifying for the season-ending Tour Championship as well as being among the top 60 in the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 22. Lee successfully defended his title at the AT&T Byron Nelson in May 2022, holding off 2015 U.S. Open champion Jordan Spieth. Lee also owns a pair of victories on the Japan Golf Tour and Korean Tour. He moved to the U.S. in 2016 to compete on the Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour).
