F-17: Top two players from DP World Tour U.S. Open Qualifying Series not previously exempt
The Frenchman will make his second U.S. Open start after becoming fully exempt on June 4 when he finished second on the DP World Tour's U.S. Open Qualifying Series. Langagasque registered his first European Tour (now DP World Tour) victory in the 2020 ISPS Handa Wales Open at Celtic Manor. Langasque punctuated his amateur careery by winning the 2015 Amateur Championship conducted by The R&A with a 4-and-2 victory over Grant Forrest at Carnoustie Golf Links. The victory earned him a spot in the 2015 Open Championship, where he finished tied for 65th at the Old Course in St. Andrews. He also earned an invitation to the 2016 Masters and finished T-39, but turned professional before the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, forfeiting his spot in the field. Before his win at Celtic Manor, Langasque won the 2018 Hopps Open de Provence on the European Challenge Tour.
