Final Qualifying: Shot 64-66 at Northwood Club and Bent Tree Country Club, respectively, in Dallas, Texas, on May 22
The former Oklahoma State standout is set to make his second U.S. Open start after advancing via final qualifying in Dallas, Texas. Eckroat will arrive in Los Angeles fresh off of sharing runner-up honors in the AT&T Byron Nelson Classic, his best finish to date in a PGA Tour event. He also was solo fifth earlier this year in the Corales Punta Cana Championship in the Dominican Republic. Eckroat also owns a pair of second-place finishes on the Korn Ferry Tour. Prior to turning professional, he was a member of the victorious 2021 USA Walker Cup Team at Seminole and he played on the U.S. Palmer Cup Team in 2019. A year earlier, he was the stroke-play medalist in the U.S. Junior Amateur, losing in the quarterfinals to future OSU teammate and eventual champion Matthew Wolff.
