The Vanderbilt University rising junior will make his U.S. Open debut after posting 8-under-par 134 to grab the third and final spot from the Woodmont Country Club final qualifier. Williams, of West Point, Miss., advanced to the semifinals of the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship with partner Carter Loflin in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, Williams won the Cabo Collegiate in Mexico for his lone collegiate victory to date. In 2022-23, he was selected to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team and was a Golfweek Honorable-Mention All-American. He is a three-time Mississippi high school champion and a past member of the U.S. Junior Ryder Cup Team.
