Final Qualifying: Shot 67-66--133 at Dallas (Texas) Athletic Club (Gold and Blue Courses) on May 18

The former Oklahoma State star and 2010 U.S. Amateur champion will return to Shinnecock Hills, where he made his only cut in three U.S. Open starts. Uihlein earned that trip by besting the field in the Dallas Athletic Club qualifier, shooting 9-under-par 133. Uihlein owns five worldwide professional victories, including one on the European Tour (now DP World Tour). He posted a pair of victories on the Asian Tour in 2024, and he's claimed a pair of Korn Ferry Tour wins, the last coming in the 2021 MGM Resorts Championship. He currently plays on LIV Golf., where he was the runner-up to Brooks Koepka in a playoff at the 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia. The son of former Acushnet CEO Wally Uihlein enjoyed a decorated amateur career that saw him defeat David Chung, 4 and 2, in the 36-hole final of the 2010 U.S. Amateur at Chambers Bay. He also represented the USA in the 2009 and 2011 Walker Cups as well as the 2010 World Amateur Team Championship. At the 2009 Walker Cup, he went 4-0 in the victory at Merion Golf Club. He also won the 2009 Dixie Amateur and reached No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in 2010. He was the runner-up in the 2010 NCAA Championship. Prior to his U.S. Amateur win, he claimed the Sahalee Players Championship by seven strokes. Uihlein was the recipient of the 2010 McCormack Medal for being the leading amateur in the WAGR. He turned professional in 2011.
