Will make his ninth U.S. Open start after posting a tie for eighth at The Los Angeles Country Club. English owns four PGA Tour victories, the last coming in the 2021 Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Conn. He also finished solo third in the 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines and solo fourth a year earlier at Winged Foot. Before getting his PGA Tour card, English won the 2011 Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational on the Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) as an amateur. The triumph came a couple of months before he represented the USA in the Walker Cup Match at Royal Aberdeen. English attended The Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn. He played collegiately at the University of Georgia and graduated in 2011 with a business degree. He missed the 2022 Masters after undergoing hip surgery. He represented the U.S. on the victorious 2021 Ryder Cup Team.
