The Englishman registered his first PGA Tour victory in the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational just before the circuit was shut down for the COVID-19 pandemic. That gave Hatton eight worldwide wins. He currently has 10 after winning the 2020 BMW Championship and the 2021 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. This will be his eighth appearance in the U.S. Open. He tied for sixth in 2018 at Shinnecock Hills. He also was a member of the victorious 2018 and 2023 European Ryder Cup Teams, and a member of the 2021 side.
