Final Qualifying: Shot 67-67--134 at G.C. of Purchase and Century C.C., in Purchase, N.Y., on June 8

The Bradenton, Fla., resident will make his U.S. Open debut after shooting a pair of 67s at the Century Country Club and the Golf Club of Purchase on June 8 to earn medalist honors. Born in Syracuse, N.Y., he played collegiate at Long Beach State before turning professional in 2012. He is the son of former PGA Tour and Champions Tour player Jim Roy. As a senior at Long Beach State, he played alongside freshman and future major champion Xander Schauffele, who would later transfer to San Diego State. He also caddied for his father in the 2018 U.S. Senior Open at The Broadmoor. His older brother, Kyle, played golf at the University of Tampo, while his father-in-law is former Cincinnati Reds third baseman Chris Sabo, who also is an accomplished golfer. Sabo qualified for the 2013 U.S. Mid-Amateur.
