F-22: Top 60 points leaders in the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 22, 2023
The former University of Georgia will make his second U.S. Open start after being among the top 60 points leaders in the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 22. Mitchell's lone professional win to date came in the 2019 Honda Classic by one stroke over Rickie Fowler and Brooks Koepka. Mitchell started his pro career on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica, where he was the runner-up in the 2015 Brazil Open. He played well enough in the 2017 Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) Finals to earn his PGA Tour card for the 2018 season. He attended The Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn., the same school that produced another ex-Georgia Bulldog, Harris English.
