Coussaud survived a 4-for-1 playoff at Walton Heath Golf Club to earn his first U.S. Open start. The Frenchmen shot 10-under 134 during the 36-hole qualifier on the Old and New Courses. He turned professional in 2016 and has toiled on the DP World Tour, European Challenge Tour and Alps Tour. He owns four victories, including The Challenge in 2023, an event co-sanctioned by the Challenge Tour and the Professional Golf Tour of India. He's won twice on the French Tour and once on the Alps Tour. As an amateur, he represented France in the 2016 World Amateur Team Championship. This will be his first major championship.
