Final Qualifying: Shot 68-70--138 at Dallas (Texas) Athletic Club (Gold and Blue Courses) on May 18
The former University of Illinois All-American will make his second U.S. Open start, but first as a professional, after garnering one of the nine available spots at the Dallas Athletic Club qualifier. He posted 4-under 138 on the Gold and Blue Courses. Immediately after turning professional in 2023, he captured the BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs on the Korn Ferry Tour. The following week, he lost in a playoff at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City Wichita Open. He was named the KFT's Rookie of the Year for the 2023 campaign. Two years later, he would post an 11-under 59 in the same event at Crestview Country Club. His second title came in the 2025 Compliance Solutions Championship. As an amateur, he won the 2019 Big Ten Championship and shared the conference player of the year award in 2021. He missed the cut in the 2022 U.S. Open as an amateur. He twice represented Belgium in the World Amateur Team Championship in 2018 and 2022, and twice represented the International side in the Palmer Cup (2021, 2022).
