F-21: Top 60 point leaders in the Official World Golf Ranking, as of May 18
The Englishman is set to make his U.S. Open debut after being among the top two leaders in the 2025 DP World Tour's Race to Dubai, not previously exempt, as of May 18. Penge enjoyed a breakout 2025 season on the DP World Tour, winning three times, including the Open de Espana. That success led to him earning starts on the PGA Tour in 2026. He tied for fourth in this year's Valspar Championship. Penge turned professional in 2017 and worked his way up from the developmental tours to the DP Tour. As a youth, he was a talented soccer player who once reportedly scored 75 goals in a single season for the Chesworth Rovers. At one time, he wasn't sure if he wanted to pursue professional soccer or golf, eventually choosing golf. His wife, the former Sophia Lamb, was a talented amateur herself who won the 2016 Ladies' British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship. and represented Great Britain and Ireland in the 2018 Curtis Cup Match at Quaker Ridge Golf Club, in Scarsdale, N.Y. Sophie and Marco also captured the 2016 Sunningdale Foursomes, an open event held at venerable Sunningdale Golf Club, in England, site of the 2024 Curtis Cup Match and 1987 Walker Cup Match.
