The former University of Oklahoma standout will make his U.S. Open debut after posting 6-under 134 at Lambton Golf & Country Club in Canada. McGreevy then survived an 8-for-3 playoff for the last spots. He comes from a golf family. His father, Brian, played at the University of Kansas and won the 1998 Oklahoma State Amateur. His uncle, Tom, played at Arizona State. Max got the deciding points for the Sooners in the semifinals and final of the 2017 NCAA title. He would turn professional later in the year. McGreevy owns eight worldwide victories, three of which have come on the Korn Ferry Tour. Two of those wins came during the 2024 season. He also won the Oklahoma Open in 2017 and 2019.
